Pepper spray can be a general term for many self-defense sprays which contain oleoresin capsicum, a company, and a propellant. Oleoresin capsicum could be the active component in pepper spray, collected or produced from cayenne peppers or other peppers. Their effects are actually incapacitating rather than painfully irritating; this makes it ideal for self-defense sprays that are intended for use on attackers who are immune to pain (psychotics, those under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or only tough guys). Tear gas, on the other hand, is usually made of 1 of 2 chemical compounds CS (orthochlorobenzalmalononitrile) or Date June 2011 (choroacetophenone). These materials, when sprayed into the face of an attacker, work to irritate eyes, skin, and the respiratory system. They work with the pain principle, and so aren't effective against those that are impervious to pain. Click here snowboarding to research where to provide for this concept. Mace is a brand name which used to provide only tear gas. Now, Mace provides several different kinds of self-defense spray, including Mace Triple Action is pepper spray, tear gas, and Ultra-Violet dye. The pepper spray physically incapacitates the opponent by tightening his bronchial tubes and forcing his eyes shut, which makes it difficult for him to see and very difficult for him to breathe. The bronchial tubes are irritated by the tear gas, causing him to cough. The UV color models the assailant using a pink chaos, making him easily recognizable. Pepper Mace runs on the 10-percent oleoresin capsicum solution and UV color. The OC s-olution is just a particularly strong one; it doesnt kick in as easily as a smaller concentration like 1-5 , but the results are longer, often around 45 minutes. Pepper foam is exactly like pepper Mace, but liquid rather than it sprays as foam. So as you can observe, it's not a problem of mace vs. pepper spray, because Mace is simply a brand name. The problem is actually among Tear Gas vs. Pepper Spray. The winner? Pepper spray, hands down..
